THE COLLEGE CREST
The circle in the crest is divided into three equal parts. On the top is dove, which is a symbol of peace. On the left is the distillation equipment. It stands for pursuit of scientific knowledge. The book along with the pens is on the right. book and pens stand for learning and wisdom. On the whole of crest is a complex symbol of knowledge, wisdom, peace and scientific temperament, which are the hallmark the real education.
BRIEF HISTORY
The history of kadambini pal women’s degree college is a reflection of triumph of popular will and local initiative. Observing the need for higher education to the rural women in a remote area, some educated persons took initiation to set up a women’s college and their effort and dedication gave birth to the college in the year 1987. Prof. prabir pal contributed Rs.50,000/- for the initial deposit for which the college was named after his mother and rajatota vikas parishad provided land for the purpose. The college received govt. concurrence from the session 1997–98 and affiliation from the session 1997-98. The college received recognition and affiliation for +3 science from the session 2008-09 and honours facilities in education, sociology, political science, and history from 1999-2000 it was facility in chemistry and math for 2016-17. The college was accorded permanent recognition and affiliation for +3 arts 2003-04 and science 2014-15. Right from its inception the college has been representing the tireless endeavour of education loving people of the locality and selfless commitment of the staff and student.
